In her artistic research, Liz Sunshine explores the relationship between people and their clothing, focusing on consumption and studying individual behaviour through documentary fashion photography and conversation. FUTURE FASHION is a fine art series and book exploring the idea of style as we age. An extension of Sunshine’s documentary work, these synthetic images were produced in 2023 and speak to a future tense, inviting viewers to imagine a future where style knows no age limits and creativity has no bounds.
In an age where daily exposure to shoppable images encourage relentless consumption, Sunshine says “I’ve created these works in the hopes of giving you the confidence to be yourself.”
The images serve as a reminder to look beyond our screens and reflect inward when seeking inspiration.
