The kitschy bayside art deco hub of inner city Melbourne, the closest bit of Australia that resembles a tacky British seaside town (probably why it’s been invaded by Brits and the Irish).

Remnants of its former queer community, who gave St Kilda its original spiciness, linger within the colourfulness of this town. As hard a reputation St Kilda has been given amongst the Melbourne population, can’t help but feel that it’s in her redemption era.

And living here amongst all its kitsch beauty on the water, seems very appealing these days… Clumsy Maps is an art series by Clumsy Hands.
